Swami Yogananda’s Mushroom Nut Burgers

Serves: 4 burgers

Description

This yummy burger (or meatball) alternative comes from a group called "Cooking with Swami Yogananda" Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup ground nuts (almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, macadamias, brazils or sesame seeds work well)
  • 6 mushrooms, minced
  • 1 tbs onion, chopped finely
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbs wheat germ
  • 1tbs brewer’s yeast (nutritional yeast)
  • flour to thicken

Method

Beat eggs

Add all other ingredients except the flour and mix Add flour if necessary to get a good consistency.

Shape into patties or small balls and fry in butter or oil.

Makes 4 burger patties.
