Peach & Banana Crumble

Preparation time: 20mins Cooking time: 30mins Serves: 4-6

Description

An easy, fast & delicious dessert which I make most time. You can always substitute peaches with mangoes & bananas with plums. As for the butter, I usually use half butter & half corn oil. And the plain flour with wholemeal instead.

Ingredients

  • 2 large Banana, sliced
  • 4 large Peach, cut into wedges
  • 3 Tablespoon soft brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoon softened butter
  • Crumble:
  • 100g butter, cut into cubes
  • 150g plain flour
  • 50g rolled oats
  • 50g castor sugar

Method

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C

  2. Brush a large or 4 oven-proof bowls with butter/oil.

  3. Distribute the Peaches & Bananas evenly onto the bowl.

  4. To make crumble. Mix together the flour, sugar & oats. Rub in the butter with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
But not too dry. Cover the tops of the filled oven-proof bowl with the crumble & pat down to make it compact.

  5. Bake in the oven for 20-30 mins. Until the top crmble is slightly brown.

Remove & cool before serving with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
