Long Bean Sambal

Long Bean Sambal
Preparation time: 10 min Cooking time: 10 min Easy - for beginners Serves: 2

Description

Adopted from http://www.mykitchensnippets.com/2007/08/sambal-long-beans.html Simple dish in south-east asian style. I think changing long bean to kangkong and shrimp to dried shrimp will be very good as well. More sambal ==> More Spicy

Ingredients

  • 1 small bunch of long beans(snake beans)
  • 1/2 pound of shrimp - peel and devein
  • 2 tbsp of homemade sambal or sambal Oelek
  • 1 small onions - slice thinly
  • 2 cloves of garlic - chopped
  • sugar and salt to taste

Method

Cut the long beans to about 1 1/2" long. Put some oil in the wok and stir fry the garlic and onions until lightly brown. Add in the sambal and stir fry of 1 min. Add in shrimp and cook for 1 min and then the long beans and cut chili. Stir-fry for about 3 min or until the beans is cooked. Serve with warm rice
