Labour cookies (ginger snaps that bite back!)

Description

These spicy ginger cookies are designed to help pregnant mamas to go into labour. They're also absolutely delicious with a slightly zippy after burn!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 Cups of flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 8 tbs butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup egg whites

Method

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine flour,baking soda,spices & set aside.

Cream the butter & sugars together. Add the molasses to the creamed butter,then add egg whites until combined.

Add the dry ingredients slowly. Once incorporated,roll dough into 1 inch balls & place onto baking tray.

Bake 8-10 minutes.

Once cool eat as many as you can possibly stomach, lay down for a nap & wait for labor to begin!
