Ingredients

  • Roast
  • 4-5 lb. Pork Roast (Boston Butt)
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • black pepper
  • Sauce
  • 3/4 cup original or hickory BBQ Sauce
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes or cayenne
  • few dashes salt & pepper

Method

Season Pork with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Put onion in crock pot and put pork on top. Cook on low for 9-10 hours. While pork is cooking, combine the sauce ingredients. Take pork out and dump out fat (but try to keep the onion). Shred the pork using two large forks. Put back in crock pot and stir in sauce. Heat through.
