Description
A pie made with ground beef & cheese
Ingredients
- (Crust)
- 2 C Flour
- 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
- 2 tsp Sugar
- ½ tsp Salt
- …” C Milk
- …“ C Oil
- (Filler)
- 1 Lb Ground Beef
- ½ C Chopped Onion
- 2 Tbsp Ketchup
- ¾ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Pepper
- 398ml Can diced tomato™s drained
- ½ tsp sugar
- 1 C Grated Cheese
Method
Crust:
- Combine first 4 ingredients in large bowl & make a well in center
- Add milk & oil to well
- Stir until just moistened
- Roll into ball
- Press into bottom & up sides of greased 9 inch pie plate
Filler:
- Brown beef & onion “ Drain
- Add ketchup, salt & pepper “ Stir & cool
- Spread beef mixture evenly in crust
- Combine tomato™s & sugar in small bowl & spoon over beef
- Sprinkle with cheese
- Bake 45 min until crust is golden & cheese is melted
- Cut into 6 wedges
